Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Arbër Ademi PhD, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia in Macedonia HE Mr. Martin Bezak.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the assuming of presidency of the EU Council by the Slovak Republic and wished successful implementation of the programme, expecting that Slovakia's support for Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia, its bilateral relations and relations within the Visegrad Group, will be confirmed during the presidency and the upcoming NATO summit in Warsaw.
The Euro-Atlantic perspective of the country and the current political situation were discussed at the meeting, while noting that the main focus of all stakeholders should be dedication to resolving of all political challenges, as well as the intensive implementation of the Urgent Reform Priorities.
Deputy Prime Minister Ademi expressed hope for continuation and deepening of the cooperation between the two countries, given the high priority on the agenda of the Slovak Presidency for continuation of the enlargement policy regardless of the events in the Union.
