Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European
Affairs, Bujar Osmani, had a meeting with Karl Johan Hedberg and Edin Colak,
representatives of "Business Sweden", whose role is to explore and
promote the business potentials for Swedish companies.
"Macedonia and Sweden have extremely
positive and friendly political relations, which is a wide potential for
cooperation of both economies," Osmani said at the meeting, pointing out
the activities of the Swedish state in the progress in the European and
Euro-Atlantic integrations of the country, but also on the direct bilateral
assistance provided by Sweden to Macedonia.
"Macedonia is at the very beginning of the
last phase of full membership in the European Union - the explanatory screening
before the start of negotiations, which means full synchronization of our
economy and society with that of the Union," Osmani stated, thus pointing
out the following period as the best business opportunity for direct foreign
investments, given the political, institutional and social progress that the
country expects.
"Business Sweden" is a partner
institution of the Government and the Swedish business sector, whose role is to
provide potential for economic and business exchange of the Swedish economy, to
identify and promote business and economic opportunities for cooperation, and
to provide access of Swedish companies to foreign markets and investment
opportunities.
