Today, in the premises of the Secretariat for European Affairs, a debate was held with the representatives of the civil sector. The topic of the debate was the implementation of Plan 3-6-9. At the debate, the representatives of the Secretariat, led by the Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani, presented the measures, activities and mechanisms introduced by the Secretariat for European Affairs, in order to improve the quality of supervision, coordination and implementation of the Plan 3-6-9.
Before the start of the debate, the Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani addressed the media, and stressed the need for enhanced implementation of the Plan 3-6-9, inviting the non-governmental organisations, the media and, in general, all stakeholders, to take part everyone with their activities, in the process of implementation of the Plan.
"The drafting of the Plan was maybe the easier task. The plan received wide support from outside, from our international partners, as well as at home, by the domestic public. In that sense, the Plan succeeded in securing social consensus, but now we need implementation. 73 measures, for 3 months, in limiting conditions before declaring elections and summer months. It is now a challenge to make a system for monitoring, coordination and informing, "Osmani said. He added that the implementation of the Plan 3-6-9 is an obligation undertaken in front of the international partners to unlock the European integration processes, but also a basic precondition to build a stable democratic society and a European state for the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.
"It is necessary to raise the issue of the European integration to a supra-party, supra-ethnic, if you want supra-national level, after which there will be no political debating, but a consensus. This proved successful in the example of Croatia, where both the position and the opposition agreed to keep the political competition on all other topics, and to stick to the consensus on the issue of European integrations,"- Osmani stressed.
Numerous non-governmental organisations, media representatives and representatives from the Secretariat for European Affairs, who are in charge of the implementation of Plan 3-6-9, took part in the debate.
