Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Arbër Ademi PhD, today had a meeting with the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of France in the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Christian Thimonier.
Ademi stressed the importance of the French support to our institutions, especially the cooperation with the Secretariat for European Affairs, which is crucial in the area of IPA funds and communication.
Regarding the political situation, Ademy briefly informed the ambassador Thimonier with the key activities implemented in the previous period in accordance with the commitments arising from the Political agreement, so that they jointly underlined the importance of organisation of democratic and credible parliamentary elections. The Deputy Prime Minister also underlined the Government's commitment for fulfilment of the Urgent Reform Priorities, as well as complete implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.
Deputy Prime Minister Ademi wished the newly appointed French ambassador Thimonier successful work during his mandate, hoping to continue and advance the good mutual cooperation.
