The reform of public administration and chapter 32 - Financial control are on the agenda of today's bilateral screening with the European Commission.
The process we are starting with this bilateral meeting on public administration reform is presented for the first time, which in itself means the importance of this field and the essence that will emerge from the conclusions and recommendations of the meeting itself.
The Republic of North Macedonia is committed to public administration reforms, especially with the establishment of the Special Group for Public Administration Reforms in 2010 with the Stabilization and Association Agreement.
The reform of the public administration is one of the key priorities, part of the Copenhagen criteria and an important prerequisite in the process of the European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia into the EU.
Modernization and improvement of the state and public administration are constantly important and are seen as the basis of the entire public sector on which the processes and development of a democratic society depend.
The reforms for Chapter 32 - Financial control focus on improving transparency and accountability by establishing an efficient internal public financial control (KBFP) including the principle of decentralized managerial responsibility, an external and independent audit body, as well as effective mechanisms to protect the financial interests of the European Union.
Our delegation consists of representatives of key institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Audit Authority, the Directorate of Public Revenues, the National Bank, the Administrative Court, the State Commission for prevention of corruption, the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, the General Secretariat of the Government and the Secretariat for European Affairs.
