The Secretariat for European Affairs launched the initiative of the SEP Training Centre titled “Friday Talks”. The concept behind this initiative is to introduce short and informal 1 hour meetings with SEP staff where certain individuals involved in the European integration process will be introduced as well as the activities of the administration, discussing topics or experiences, followed by a discussion.
The guests at the first talk in the series of “Friday Talks” were two resident foreign experts at the Secretariat for European Affairs: Mrs. Solange Maslowski, an expert from the Republic of France and Mr. Umerr Al-Khatib, from the Federal Republic of Germany, political adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Mr. Bojan Maricik. They presented their portfolios and experiences as well as the activities within their current mandate. The event was moderated by Mr. Dragan Tilev, State Advisor at the Secretariat for European Affairs.
The event was attended by around 40 staff of the Secretariat for European Affairs and they all had the opportunity to find out more about the possibility for cooperation with the two experts/advisors, and also briefly discuss the aspects of the EU enlargement process in the existing context.
