The Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bojan Marici, today had a meeting with the Director of the EBRD Office in the country, Andi Aranitasi.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Maricik and Director Aranitasi expressed satisfaction with the current cooperation in the implementation of the Cooperation Strategy 2018-2023, as well as expectation for continued cooperation in the coming period with the introduction of IPA 3 within the Western Balkans Investment Fund (WBIF), as part of the Connectivity Agenda, prioritizing projects arising from the Green Agenda, including clean energy projects and the EBRD Private Sector Development Initiative.
Deputy Prime Minister Maricik pointed out that it is essential to work together while taking into account the lessons learned in project implementation and to draw up a plan for building administrative capacity to conduct certain specific trainings, arising from the rules for procurement, tenders and project implementation of the EBRD, as already requested by the former NIPAC.
In addition, the possibilities for future projects in cooperation with the EBRD were reviewed in priority areas in the context of connecting the country with the region, as well as specific projects aimed at implementing the green agenda that will provide cleaner environment for the citizens.
