Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European
Affairs, Bujar Osmani, had a meeting with the President of the European
Movement in the Republic of Macedonia and coordinator of the National
Convention for European Union of the Republic of Macedonia (NCEU-MK), Mileva
Gjurovska. The purpose of the meeting is the cooperation of the Secretariat for
European Affairs with the NCEU-MK, especially in the context of the current
screening process, as well as the preparation of all the capacities of the state
for the upcoming negotiation process.
"Taking into account the progress in
European integration, especially the onset of explanatory screening, it is
necessary to ensure full involvement of all relevant stakeholders in this
process, including the civil sector, with the initiative launched by the
National Convention for holding debates on topics related to the process of
European integration is of particular importance," emphasised Osmani,
pointing to the approach on which these groups function as a blend of
representatives from institutions, academia and the civil sector, thus
stressing that it enables merging different views and opinions as the best way
of making the highest quality conclusions.
"Since the process of mapping state
institutions, civil society organizations with which we aim to identify the
national experts has begun, I expect you as an NCEU to contribute in accordance
with the expertise that you own, which would strengthen our joint cooperation
in the screening process "- concluded Osmani.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current active cooperation of the representatives of the Secretariat for European Affairs and the NCEU-MK, and expressed their readiness to deepen and expand it.
