Ademi, Clark and Vinton to visit projects implemented with UNDP

Today Deputy Prime Minister Arbr Ademi and the
UNDP Administrator, Helen Clark and UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident
Representative in Skopje in Macedonia, Louisa Vinton visited projects funded by
UNDP in Tetovo municipality.
During the
talks, Deputy Prime Minister Ademi stressed the continuous support of UNDP for
the development at national and local level through the implementation of a
number of certain projects. Ademi and Clark also discussed the forms of the
current cooperation and the possibility to enhance it. Deputy Prime Minister
Ademi stressed that the cooperation with the UNDP office in Skopje is
extraordinary, which resulted in successful projects in a number of sectors on
which depends the whole scale development of the country, as well as support in
the process of European integration. The
UNDP assistance was especially stressed in the area of dealing with crises and
repair of the damages from the recent floods, as well as preventing new
disasters.
Ademi stressed that the support from UNDP is
particularly desirable in areas of good governance, environment and social
inclusion, in line with the strategic objectives of the Republic of Macedonia
for development and EU accession.
