Closing event at Delegation of the European Union new generation of young professionals of the Western Balkans

The project "EU scheme
for young professionals in the Western Balkans", today at the Delegation
of the EU in Skopje held closing event of the practical part implemented by
young civil servants from the Western Balkans countries (Macedonia, Serbia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo), supported by the
British Council.
The State Counsellor of the Secretariat for
European Affairs Dragan Tilev expressed strong support for the project with
active participation by the Macedonian administration, thus expressing hope
that the cycle of such trainings will continue further. He emphasised that for
successful and sustainable European reforms critical mass of high quality,
competent professionals is necessary, which will guarantee that the reform
process is properly implemented and sustainable.
Considering that the group of five young
professionals who are in Macedonia are working on the topic: "Media and
civil society organisations" had the opportunity to learn about the role
of media and civil society in the EU integration process of Macedonia through
meetings with representatives of most state institutions (SEA, GS of the
Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Ministry of Information Society,
Ministry of justice) the Delegation of the EU in Skopje, as well as
representatives from a number of civil society organisations, associations and
associations of journalists.
The Secretariat for European Affairs and the
General Secretariat of the Government of
the Republic of Macedonia are host institutions within this project which is funded
by the European Union.
Any intrusion and misuse of the SEA website is punishable under Article 251 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of North Macedonia.
