Bujar Osmani strongly believes that the Republic of North Macedonia relates its development, security and prosperity to the European Union membership, therefore continuously confirming its aspiration to integrate in the Euro-Atlantic structures. He believes that the EU membership as our strategic priority is the main driving force of our commitment to work hard and with full commitment to further democratisation of our country and society. In his capacity as Deputy Prime Minister of the Government in charge of European Affairs he coordinates the EU accession process and he is National IPA coordinator.
Bujar Osmani was born on September 11, 1979 in Skopje, the Republic of North Macedonia. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje in 2004. He completed part of his specialisation of hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery in London, United Kingdom in the period of 2006-2007, while since 2012 he has acquired the title specialist surgeon. Since 2014 he is a PhD candidate at the School of Doctoral Studies at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje.
He started his professional experience in 2004 as a doctor of medicine at the University Clinic for Surgical Diseases "St. Naum Ohridski" in Skopje. In the same year he delivered lectures in the Medical High School "Dr. Panche Karadzozov" Skopje. In 2008 he was appointed as Minister of Health of the Republic and he was in office until 2011. Since 2011 he is Specialist surgeon at the University Clinic of Digestive Surgery- Skopje. In 2011 he was also appointed as Secretary of Public Relations at the presidency of the Democratic Union for Integration. Since June 2017 he was appointed as Deputy President of the Government in charge of European Affairs.
Bujar Osmani is married, he is father of two children. He speaks Albanian (mother tongue), Macedonian, English and he speaks French on an intermediate level.
